The development

Posted by Dani Undurraga on May 03, 2007 at 14:24
So I guess my time to publish something on our corporate blog is already here. Do I have anything interesting to tell the world? Probably not much, otherwise you wouldn’t have waited so long for reading my first lines and Oskar is doing quite a good job in keeping our corporate readers up to date, so I haven’t really cared about writing anything. Anyway, I suddenly decided to tell Needish fans around the globe how the development of our product/service is doing. We already have a strong, multifaceted and international development team made up of three Chileans, one French-Chilean and one Uruguayan. If you remember that we also have two Swedish founders, you will probably agree with me, that we’re a pretty international company. I guess being international is good when you want to change the whole world for ever and I hope the investors in Silicon Valley will value that condition in us. Back to our team…

What have we been into these days? Well, specifying requirements -it seems like we’ll never finish doing it-, looking for the right components to use, and mainly programming. From my personal perspective I could also tell you how difficult it is to find an accountant, the unbelievable amount of papers you have to sign for opening a corporate bank account, and the even more unbelievable long period of time between the last paper you sign and the moment you can use your account. But Needish will change that for ever, so I won’t waste my -and your- time describing those painful paperworks involved in creating a company.
The prototype Nico and me built some months ago, is starting to look like a real beta version and I’m glad. If it weren’t so ugly -we’re engineers, not designers- I would print it and paste it in my apartment’s living room, how would my flatmate reaction be like? I probably wouldn’t care. In the meantime we’re looking forward to meet the designers who will embellish what we have -almost intentionally- made ugly, hoping to end up with the most beautiful and useful web service ever built. I know you’ll agree with me in a few months.
Are you needish?
